Thank you for all your support, concern and prayers.

So is it over??? That really is a question I will answer to myself in the future. I haven't given up swimming, and even on Saturday, the 19th, the Day After, with a full night of sleep and good breakfast, what a difference a Day Makes. Heather, our young swimming friend from Florida (a triple crowner) came up from Dover, so what else do channel swimmers do... go for a swim. Not to say I wasn't a bit sore, but I felt OKAY. A couple of tweekes but nothing out of the ordinary.
Also joining us, is one of my favorite swim partners from CT, Amanda, she won't touch the water, too cold for her, but we have a adventure for Sunday... more tomorrow.

  1. You don’t need to retire, Marcy nobody’s asking you to do that but maybe there’s another exciting place to swim???

  2. Hi Marcy and I'm sorry you didn't finish this channel swim. You are an amazing athlete and have accomplished so much in your swimming life and you are such an inspiration to those of us who know you and swim with you. See you soon back in the Tolland pool! Ellen

  4. Marcy. Beyond impressive you are. And part of it is knowing when it stops being fun or maybe safe. I’m a bit(smile ) older than you and we all know when it’s time to do a flip turn and change direction.
What an amazing career, and what an amazing human you are! Jeri

  5. Wow, thanks for sharing! And thanks for the cap :) - and yes, sometimes the body just needs to be rested to perform - I have experienced it myself and seen it in others. To fly in from the US and do a double without any rest is not for everyone.... (and Anne was a few years younger when she did that!)
